Founder
Sammy
Sammy is a high school junior from New York City. In the eighth grade, she began volunteering with Friendship Circle, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing happiness and companionship to Jewish children, teens and young adults with special needs. This sparked a love for working with neurodiverse children.

Sammy has always loved visual art, and considered herself as a visual learner. This passion for art as a way to navigate life led her to become involved with creative projects with the students at Friendship Circle. Through the years, Sammy has observed how students with special needs become more confident through creative, hands-on activities, and how these pursuits equip them with communication and collaboration skills. This led Sammy to research the benefits of arts and play therapy for neurodiverse, and especially ASD children. Finding a plethora of evidence demonstrating these benefits, she launched Creative Spectrum Alliance in 2023, with the goal of bringing access to creativity to more neurodiverse students.
In her free time, Sammy enjoys photography, and loves taking pictures of everything, everywhere she goes. She also loves to visit NYC’s many art museums.
